Rosacea treatment runs the gamut from laser treatments to creams and beyond. Which treatment is right for you? The answer depends on a few factors. Let's first take a quick look at what Rosacea is, and how it develops.

If you don't have Rosacea yourself, you may know someone that does and have seen the symptoms of this chronic disease of the skin. People with Rosacea tend to blush easily, and as the disease progresses over time, the skin may become permanently red and may harden somewhat. One common symptom in men is the enlarging, hardening and redness of the nose. The exact cause of this disease is still not known, but the symptoms are caused by the swelling of the blood vessels near the surface of the skin.

The first course of treatment prescribed by a dermatologist is usually a medicated cream designed to reduce the effects of Rosacea. This coupled with a change in diet many times will yield favorable results. If however these treatments don't seem to help at all, laser therapy is the next option to try.
